Edward Roberts Malpass (Trumpet)

Edward is a busy professional freelance Trumpet player and Musical Director. He studied Trumpet Performance at Birmingham Conservatoire and graduated with an honours degree in 1997. He has played with many notable ensembles including the CBSO and has performed as a soloist in the UK and abroad. As a Musical Director, Edward has worked with numerous local operatic & dramatic societies and also spends much of his time in theatre pit orchestras. He can be found on many Saturday night’s performing with the well known function band The Hey Yahs and in complete contrast, Edward is also Director of Music at St Thomas’ Church Stourbridge.

Edward is very much looking forward to playing for the Local & Live concert series and will be performing an eclectic range of trumpet music through the ages, from baroque to modern, on a variety of trumpets.
