Piano Festival 2023 'Anniversaries'

This year the festival will celebrate the theme of anniversaries of all sorts, including the 150th anniversary of the birth of Rachmaninov and Reger, and the 75th anniversary of the death of Prokofiev. The pianists featured will include Michael Jones, Pam Street, Rufus Westley and Tony Bridgewater.

'Dances and Dolls'

A Concert by the Wind Soloists of the Wyre Forest Symphony Orchestra

The Wyre Forest Symphony Orchestra (wfso.org.uk), based in Kidderminster, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year with an afternoon concert of music for wind quintet, performed by members of the regular brass and wind sections of the orchestra.

Edward is a freelance trumpet player, musical director & teacher. He is also mad about cars! He will be presenting an entertaining and virtuosic concert of music in many styles, accompanied by piano and organ

Gill and Jonathan Pendrous

Gill and Jonathan are Stourbridge-based and play violin together in leading amateur orchestras of the West Midlands, including the Wyre Forest Symphony Orchestra, of which Gill is the leader. Tonight as violin and viola duo they present a varied programme by Mozart, Brahms and Handel/Halvorsen, and are also including works by Midlands based composer Christopher Edmunds.  They are accompanied by Michael Jones and Tony Bridgewater.

'Voices in Harmony'

We are delighted to announce that the Cradley based choir, 'Voices in Harmony', has agreed to give a fund raising concert in aid of Mary Stevens' Hospice. Directed by Stephen Bradley, the 55 strong ensemble will perform a range of popular classics, show choruses and modern songs, with 'something for everyone to enjoy'.
